THE PIECE
A new coast brought a new perspective.
During his teenage years, Pickedfromdagarden founder Justin Reid relocated from the East Coast to Los Angeles, where he attended and graduated from Fairfax Senior High School.
From 2011–2015, Justin experienced Los Angeles during a defining period for streetwear, hip-hop and independent creativity. With collectives and movements like Odd Future and The Marathon shaping the broader creative landscape, alongside the many streetwear stores emerging throughout the Fairfax District, Justin was able to observe a new intersection of fashion, music, art and street culture up close.
That environment expanded the perspective that would later help shape Pickedfromdagarden.
Part of the PICKED City Edition series, the collection highlights the places that have influenced the brand, its creativity and the culture surrounding it.
Los Angeles represents the expansion.
